welcome to St. Joseph Catholic Church
"No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends." When I look at the big crucifix in St. Joseph church I am reminded of Jesus' teaching about love and how he laid down his life for each of us. Many people have followed the example of Jesus and have lived lives of service and sacrifice. The people of St. Joseph church serve and sacrifice through their time, offertory, and prayer.
I see great examples of people who, after working long and hard in a career until they retire, decide to give back for all that they've received throughout their life. Retirement is a time where a person can pursue what ever they wish. Many of our members are people who've reached the age of retirement and now are giving back through their activity at St. Joseph.
Pope Francis has directed that St. Joseph, our patron saint, be mentioned in the Eucharistic prayers of the Church. St. Joseph was a carpenter, a worker, a husband, a righteous man, and a father who provided for his family and protected them from evil. May the prayers of St. Joseph strengthen families and help all fathers to have the wisdom and grace to care for their families.
Welcome to St. Joseph parish of Sturgeon Bay. Many people enter into this church to pray and to receive sacraments. We welcome you as family members in the Catholic faith. Within the familiarity of sacred surroundings that speak of how we believe and pray, please make yourself at home.
God Bless You,
Fr. Bob Stegmann
